The darkroom in a box

The changing bag and a pinky kitty box

My loved one found for me a super nice cardboard box, where I keep all I need to develope 4×5 sheet film. Changing bag, three fidelity chassis, a pack of film, the DDTanika45 daylight developing tank, with accessories, three strange pieces of plastic and three wooden legs…

I keep the box aside, and build the box lid as a small tripod table….

Yes, the single leg needs a screw to stay very solid, and has to be kept in front, so when you put your arms in the holesthey are free to move.

AND EVERYTHING INSIDEEEEEEE!

Now, let’s seee through.

The space inside can be greatly expanded with this trick. First you can note that there is a working area UNDER the box cover (A) and a storage space ON THE TOP of it. It’s where I put the empty slides (1) and keep the tank upper lid (4) that goes on only at the end. Here I’m using the DDTanika45 (3) you can see with the first tray in. The area A is full of hand space. The three legs are concieved in the way the pair is in the back and the single one centered in the front, in a way that hands are free to work, picking up the film from (2) and inserting it in the trays (5). Each one, once filled, will be put in the safe of the tank (3), each empty slide will go out of the work area in position (1).
The 3 feet can be lowered at need, to get more hand spce or more storage space.
