A volte é semplicemente un ricordo dimenticato da qualcun altro, a volte ce l’hai in casa.
Bene, ora é una vera 4×5″ usabile con le cassette fidelity standard, piccola, leggera, rise, fall, shift anteriore, ed un minimo di tilt, per quanto poco. Da 90 a 180 si puó montare quasi tutto, ma con quasi tutte le ottiche bisogna smontare l’elemento posteriore per sfilare la piastra.
Il dorso é completamente realizzato da me con filamenti caricati in legno e carbonio, per la migliore stabilità dimensionale. Si innesta con lo stesso meccanismo del portalastre originale (nelle foto) e non ha comportato alcuna modifica alla macchina, peraltro già ampiamente ritoccata in passato, credo.
Le piastre portaottica un po’ kitsch ed il vetro smerigliato sono sempre sempre realizzati in casa.
Sometimes it’s simply a memory forgotten by someone else; other times, you already have it at home. Well, now it’s a genuine 4x5" camera compatible with standard Fidelity film holders—compact and lightweight, featuring front rise, fall, and shift, plus a bit of tilt (albeit a limited amount). You can mount almost any lens from 90mm to 180mm, though with most of them, you have to remove the rear element to slide the lens board out. I built the back entirely myself using wood- and carbon-filled filaments to ensure optimal dimensional stability. It attaches using the same mechanism as the original film holder (shown in the photos) and required no modifications to the camera body—which, I believe, had already been heavily modified in the past anyway. The slightly kitsch lens boards and the ground glass are also entirely homemade
